The Brisbane River is often a disappointment because it is always brown – no sparkling blue like the Sydney Harbour. But it would seem the recent lack of rain has allowed the silt to settle and it is definitely a pleasant green looking down towards the mouth from the Leo Hielscher Bridge on the Gateway Motorway.

And the pelicans were having a field day as a little fishing boat headed out to Moreton Bay.
